All you need to know about Tosh Trek

Tosh is located in the Parvati Valley in Kasol, Himachal Pradesh, at an elevation of 2400 metres above sea level. Snow-capped mountains, lush green valleys, waterfalls, and breathtaking views are all included in Tosh. Tosh village is one of Himachal Pradesh’s most prominent hiking destinations.

Tosh is 3 kilometres away from Barshaini and may be reached by foot. In Himachal Pradesh, Barshaini is the beginning place for hiking to Tosh. Tosh Village is 20 kilometres from Kasol and 3 kilometres from Barshaini. If you want to perform a lengthy trip, you may start your Tosh village trek from Kasol. If you want to go on a short journey, you should start at Barshaini and walk to Tosh.


Himalayan blue poppies, buttercups, primulas, marsh marigolds, and balsam flowers will greet you in the early summer. Mountain goats may be heard throughout the walk, since the locals rely mostly on farming, animal husbandry, and hashish growing. During the winter, from November to February, snowfall is possible. There are numerous psychedelic and trance parties conducted throughout the year; all you have to do is get fortunate and attend one of them.


The Tosh trip is the most comfortable of all the nearby treks, and you can do it in a single day unless you choose to go on to the Tosh glacier. The walk begins to meander through rocks and mud as you approach the Tosh glacier, making it difficult to ascend.


By Road: Tosh is 538 kilometres from Delhi. You may drive yourself to Tosh because the roads are passable, or take a HRTC bus from Kashmere Gate to Manikaran. You may either take a cab straight to Tosh from Manikaran or take a local bus to Barsheni, from whence you must walk uphill for half an hour to reach Tosh. The cab fare is INR 800, whereas the bus fare is between INR 20 and INR 30. By Air: If you want to shorten your journey time in half, take a flight from New Delhi to Bhuntar airport. Bhuntar is a tiny airport with a restricted number of aircraft each day. You may then take a cab to Tosh from there.

You will be mesmerised by a stroll along the Parvati River. The Parvati River is a popular tourist attraction in Tosh (Kasol), which is situated at an elevation of 7,900 feet. This river’s clear water and natural surroundings will provide you with a gorgeous and lovely glimpse of nature. The Mantalai glacier feeds the Parvati River, which is Tosh’s natural place. The river’s surrounding mountains are covered with snow, and there are several pure and sparkling streams running through them.   1. Visit Manikaran Sahib

Manikaran Sahib is another another fantastic place on the list. It is a popular pilgrimage site for Sikhs and Hindus alike. It is a location that attracts thousands of enthusiasts from all over the world each year, making it one of the greatest and most interesting things to do in Tosh. It lies 4 kilometres from Kasol, Tosh in the Parvati Valley, at a height of 1760 metres. It is located in Kullu District, near the banks of the Parvati River. Visitors to Tosh who have religious beliefs are required to visit this location. Manikaran Sahib is also known for its hot springs, where visitors can bathe before entering the Gurudwara.

Hari Har Ghat is located on Manikaran Road in Kullu.

There are no entrance fees for this Gurudwara.
