Solution 1- Rename your network file and run the database server manager

The network file is used in multi-user access mode; it is located in the folder carrying your company file. Follow the steps to rename it-

  1. Navigate to the folder which has your company file.
  2. There will be files with the same name as your company file with extension .ND. For example- Companyfilename.ND
  3. Right-click on the file and select Rename from the options.
  4. Type .old at the end of the file name.
  5. Now run the QuickBooks Tool hub and click on Network Issues.
  6. Choose QuickBooks Database Server Manager from the list.
  7. Locate your company file from Browse or select it from the list. Then tap Scan.
  8. Let the scan complete.

Solution 2- Make sure the company file is in its default location

The default location for your company file is C:/Users/Public/PublicDocuments/Intuit/QuickBooks/Company Files
