What Is the Definition of Fractionated Coconut Oil?

Fractionated coconut oil (FCO) is coconut oil that has been distilled to separate the lauric acid from the solid fats in the oil. The solid fats are removed from the oil after separation, allowing it to remain liquid at any temperature, as opposed to unfractionated or virgin coconut oil, which solidifies at and below room temperature.

Alternative Uses of Fractionated Coconut Oil

1. Take Off Your Makeup

It is an effective makeup remover that also moisturises while it cleans! Simply dab a few drops of fractionated coconut oil onto a makeup remover cloth, tissue, cotton pad, or cotton swab to effortlessly remove lipstick, mascara, and foundation!

2. APPLY AS A CARRIER OIL

Essential oils work well with FCO as a carrier oil. As a result, it’s ideal for massage, skincare, and aromatherapy. This oil blends well with other oils, resulting in an evenly distributed oil when combined with essential oils. This oil is also high in nutrients, which enhance the benefits of essential oils, such as healing and soothing skin and hair. Simply place a small amount of FCO in a small bowl to make. Fill the bowl with the desired amount of essential oil. Mix the two oils together with a wooden spoon or spatula until thoroughly combined.

3. Makeup Brushes Hygiene

Dirty makeup brushes can harbour a wide range of germs and bacteria that can harm your skin. Maintain a clear complexion by cleaning your makeup brushes on a regular basis, which you can do with the help of FCO.

4. Heels and Elbows Softening

This particular coconut oil has exceptional softening properties. If you have dry skin, psoriasis, or eczema, you are likely to have dry, cracked heels and rough elbows. Just a few nights of applying fractionated coconut oil to these areas on successive nights can provide immediate relief. Simply massage the oil into the affected areas like you would a fine moisturising cream. Apply the oil to your heels before going to bed, wear socks, and let it work overnight.

5. Apply For UV Protection

When you’ve had a long day in the sun, your hair usually tells the storey. UV rays from the sun are extremely drying and damaging to hair and skin. If your hair becomes brittle and breaks easily in the sun, use fractionated coconut oil to protect it beforehand. One simple method is to put some oil in a mini spray bottle. As soon as you arrive at the beach or pool party, spritz your hair. Use your fingers or a comb to work the product into your hair. This one application will protect your hair for the entire day, leaving it soft and silky. It’s a good idea to keep a bottle of this in your bathroom for easy access.
