Indoor playgrounds in the Toronto area

As the weather finally gets colder, many parents worry that their kids aren’t getting enough exercise indoors. The solution to this problem is indoor playgrounds. They’ve become more popular over the years and are a great day out for kids in a country like Canada where it’s wet and cold 6 months of the year.

Playgrounds are often equipped with slides, climbing towers, bouncy castles, children’s playgrounds with foam mats and many riding toys. There is an area to eat and usually a microwave or a small kitchen. Many places have breastfeeding rooms and areas where you can change the baby. Bathrooms are suitable for children. Most indoor playgrounds get their income from birthday parties and celebrations. They offer party packages and provide large banquet halls with everything you need to celebrate. Some are not open to the public on weekends due to party hours, so it’s best to check their 24-hour website or call them before planning to go. On weekdays, they’re usually priced to cover the game time of the day. Here is a list of places I have been to and recommend in the Greater Toronto Area. Pack a lunch and snack and hit the road!

Tamia Zone indoor playground,

Tamia Zone is a fairly new indoor playground (opened in 2009), but has already become my favorite in Mississauga. While there are many indoor playgrounds in the same Mississauga area as Taima District, it stands out as a spacious, clean facility with plenty of comfortable seating for parents and a great solid play structure for kids. There are large banquet halls and a delightful nursing room with a one-sided window through which you can see the

Funny Indoor Play Balls,

Balls of Fun is a great dance school. It has balls of all shapes and sizes and plenty of room for kids to run and play. They have a large play structure and a small room for toddlers and preschoolers. If you visit this playground with a child, I highly recommend staying in the smaller room or dining room because you can have a ball there. I think this playground is more fun for active kids who are a little older: from 3 years old.
